A Slightly New Obesssion

I don't know why I have recently developed a major crush -- well, now border lining on obsession -- with rapper Lil' Wayne. Actually I do know why. Since I don't do much (any) dating, I have romantic attractions with men I will never meet that I get to know over watching them on t.v. (i.e. my long-time love of Will Smith). For the last month they have been showing Lil Wayne's Behind the Music special on VH1. Needless to say, I have watched it every time I've noticed it was playing. (FYI -- this is the first half of the episode, which I DEFINITELY do not expect you to watch. But in case you're interested...)



Something about his tumultuous past and daring future has me thinking that men somehow get cuter when they go to jail. (LOL -- j/k... sort of.)

Now, I clearly recognize this is a problem, which is why I wil lnot allow such men into my real dating life. But a woman can live in the world of fantasy from time to time, cant' she?

I told the Fearsome Foursome yesterday about my latest obession with Lil Wayne. Specifically, I said:

"Have you ever thought that a swag-a-licious dude tends to be even more fine when he's a little high? I'm starting to find Lil Wayne attractive -- problem?"

Here were a few of the very best responses:

Ruth: This is a definite problem. You clearly need to meet someone -- you're getting delusional.

Dawniece: Yes it is a problem. Lil Wayn = not sexy. Come out of that nightmare!

And my personal favorite:

Yodit: Umm... I threw up in my mouth a little. They at least have to be cute for that to work.


This made me laugh so hard last night that I had to share it with you. How's that for a "cultural obession"??? LOL!
